According to a Japanese legend, cutting off a dog’s head will turn its soul into an “Inugami”, a dog-god. It then becomes a powerful and protective companion who can take possession of people while at the same time remaining independent.

With uncompromising restraint and magical obsession, “Missing Dog Head” work consistently on “losing their heads” to be free intuitively. They have let “InugamI” become the soul of their debut album. On this album, they walk on borders and cross limits far beyond the scenic sounds of improvisation.

It’s a musical language expressing spirituality in all facets ranging from Blues and Rock to Jazz, while skillfully avoiding classical Jazz-Rock. “Inugami” is ruthlessly sensitive abandon caught between charming cocktail-bar feelings and industrial Noise-Punk-Rock.
